Raindrop abstract…

Well, harvest is over and I’m nearly back!  I hadn’t realised with the house move and harvest on it’s tail just how exhausted I became.  Anyhow, what I have realised, is that when I don’t get to go out and take images, there is something missing 🙂  So, today is a total abstract, taken this morning in between showers.  The top of a capped fence with rain drops refracting light into a shaded area taken with the macro… 🙂

Lines and light…

Something a bit different to my general posts – some architecture!  Taken at Werribee Park Mansion a week ago, this covered walkway was beautifully lit in the strong afternoon sun.  Built between 1874 and 1877, I could imagine these walkways providing relief from the Australian summer afternoons.

Shadow of a gum tree…

At last (at least for us) it has cooled 🙂  I took this yesterday early morning, is of a gum tree shadow on long grass (some may have seen this on my Facebook page).  I had to fit myself behind the tree and barbed wire fence so my shadow wasn’t visible….

Shades of ‘Le Chat Noir’?

A slightly different post…When I saw Yertle, one of the farm cats sitting against the doorway, the image immediately reminded me of the late 19th century French poster, Le Chat Noir.  Yertle is a rescue cat who has the most amazing, friendly character and a lazy eye.
