Seashell – Monochrome Madness

So we enter yet another dismal week of weather 😦  This is my entry for this weeks Monochrome Madness Challenge hosted by Leanne Cole and Laura Macky….a great challenge where you get to see a heap of brilliant work in monochrome by a wide range of artists, do check it out.

I’m not entirely happy with my image, I’m rusty with my macro lens, especially putting it on a full frame camera again, but has been good to get it out and actually use it 🙂  Taken using natural light – please click on the image for more detail.

Nostalgic and intimate image. Reminders of my childhood by the sea.

Great movement and the material just adds to the textures. Love it

Nice close up Lisa – not sure why you are unhappy with it – quite often I will ruminate about a certain aspect of what I deem to be a marginal image – and it goes unseen by people who view the image. Great rendering of tones with the natural (soft) light of you stormy winter.

Really sorry about your dismal weather Lisa.
I must say though… I really like this image!!! It is timeless.
The texture and detail you’ve captured are spectacular! ..and I love the natural light. I really thought this was crochet at first. Nice! 🙂

Glad you liked it, yours was also great. We did have a sunrise of sorts before it clouded over again today – a good feeling to see the sun again 🙂 🙂

Thanks Lisa 🙂 The sun sure does put a spring in our days.
Cloudy cold days seem endless. Hope yours is a good one!!

she sees sea shells from the sea shore, then she takes a great picture and she shares sea shells from the sea shore.
