The weather has continued to be very wet, cold and miserable this last week with some of the strongest winds I’ve seen since last summer so no photo opportunities 😦 I saw this heron early in the morning looking for a meal when we went to Anglesea for the day at the start of last month. That’s a nice walk!
It was indeed 🙂
I know exactly how you feel when we have our long periods of foul winter weather – I actually get all depressed when I don’t trip my shutter for a long spell 🙂
Exactly!! 🙂
An interesting bird. Lovely colour.
The weather isn’t nice for outdoors… Good time to go back over previous images or play with toys 😉
Hope you had a great weekend Lisa, albeit an inside one.
Thanks Robyn, this week looks better 🙂
Yep do hope so. Enjoy your week and your camera… Hopefully 🙂
Nice shot. At least there’s snow in the highlands now.
Thank you and that is a very good point, it’s not been the best start to their season.
Magnificent photo! Great setting, fine composition! You got it all!
Thanks very much and for taking the time to comment.
So glad I don’t need to hunt each morning of winter. My legs would also turn yellow.
…and blue!
Beautiful portrait – especially like the long feathers on the back. A
Thanks Adrian 🙂
Great timing makes for a lovely shot!
Funnily enough the weather here has been too nice for me to get out with my camera – there’s just no pleasing some people! 😀
Thank you! I’m glad you are getting some good weather – I think we are all guilty of the Goldilocks syndrome! 🙂
