The tunnel…

This image was taken at Alowyn Gardens and is a series of Wisteria tunnels or walkways.  I shall go back (very soon) when the Wisteria blooms for a colour image…lining up the image was hard enough let alone planting and constructing it 🙂

I missed the deadline for MMC 30 this week, but do check it out 🙂

Watercolour…

I appreciate this image won’t be everyone’s cup of tea!  This is a complex reflection of a cliff face with gums trees growing on it, taken a few weeks ago at Turpins Falls.  (The website image looks like it was taken at about the same time of day)  The reflection is on a very large pool which in turn is being distorted by ripples from the distant waterfall.  I found  the patterns literally mesmerising as the late afternoon sun sank lower and the reflections became more vivid 🙂

As always click for more detail – a busy image!

Misty Mountain…

I took these on my way home from work yesterday afternoon with a long lens (all I had!).  Considering we are about to enter summer, this week has been cold and wet – we are still bringing in wood for the stove.  These are clearing rain clouds on the top of the nearby hills…

The hay bales have been there since last summer

I’ve been looking at a lot of autumnal images from the northern hemisphere – these coloured tinges are new spring growth on Eucalyptus trees from the south!

Natural Density Filter!!

Yesterday was a very cold spring morning.  The temperature of the dam water would have been considerably higher than the air temperature so it was almost like a steaming bath.  The result was the rising sun being filtered through a haze –  brings a whole new meaning to ND filter…
