Another rushed post, and whilst on the topic of rushed, I apologise for not answering comments at the mo, but I do read them and very much appreciate them – things will get back to normal in a week or so 🙂 This is an upward view of Ghost Gums which are native to my part of the world here in SE Australia. I love their white trunks and the foliage now highlighted in near infrared. Also this is my submission for the 27th Monochrome Madness curated by the ever hard working Leanne Cole 🙂

Yes, quite nice Lisa – very interesting in how different the trunks do render in IR.
Beautiful picture, wonderful stuff! Having the patches of very dark sky between the trees’ canopies helps this a lot. Adrian
I think the eucalypts are among the most graceful of trees, and each time I had the chance to visit down there (more than two dozen), I always looked forward to being able to see so many varieties and admire their grace–and I was almost never disappointed!
The infrared works well, it creates a surreal view of a landscape.

Whoever named these ‘Ghost gums” clearly had near infra red eyeballs. Great to see them as he/she did.
