Yesterday I found this old tree trunk on its side, it has been there for years judging by how bleached and weathered it was. I was fascinated by the effect of the weathering, creating waves of texture. Taken in, what seems at the moment, a rare window of sunshine!

This is wonderful Lisa! Nice ‘seeing’ 🙂 I like the contrasts too.
I hope you enjoyed the sunshine. We had a rare day of sunshine today with a cold start. -5 or so. Did you get a frost? We sure did 🙂
Thanks Robyn. No pity we didn’t get a frost like that, but the brief sunshine was wonderful…back to cold heavy fog again today!
Morning Lisa, just checking in myself 🙂
The sunshine has been brilliant after all the dark days… More winter weather to come though, I know.
Stay warm in the bone chilling fog and wishing you more sunshine 🙂
Great shot of the texture and tones – I can just picture you dropping everything as the sun shines for a brief moment and dashing out to shoot.
Thank you – yes you pictured it right! 🙂
gorgeous texture!!!
Yes, I’m glad I saw it 🙂
Love the detail!
Thanks Justin.
That is a superb find, Lisa. That single dark hole at the top right finishes the image off perfectly.
Thanks Andy, sorry for the late reply!
