Bad hair day?

I’ve been watching these Highland Cattle for ages, they get moved from paddock to paddock and are always just out of range. This was a snatched opportunity when they finally came near enough. I love the texture of their fur and the huge horns.

Lovely shot….It does look like a bad hair day for the cow….I have seen this kind of cows in Scotland…Looks like an Aberdeen Angus…

  Thank you! I also originally thought they were maybe Aberdeen Angus but when I looked them up my understanding is that they are called Highland Cattle.

I love the photographic potential of Highland Cattle – but have sadly never had the opportunity to try my hand 😦

Thanks Noeline. I always have an image of them in my head as standing in a snowy landscape – unlikely where I am in Australia!!
